Dribuild – Weld Splatter Fixed at short notice

DriBuild Ltd. is a leading construction and interior fit-out company with a reputation for quality and service, and with a portfolio of blue chip clients. They asked for our help with an issue they were having at Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth.
Challenge
Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth is a popular and well-known shopping centre right next to the historic dockyard in Portsmouth. With thousands of visitors each week it made it difficult for DriBuild to get time and access to get remedial works done. 2 glass units were damaged from Weld splatter right in the heart of the shopping centre – replacing these would be expensive and disruptive.

Solution
Renew were able to book a technician to attend out of hours – starting his shift at midnight at short notice. Although we were confident our system would improve the visual quality of the glass we advised Dribuild that some severe damage such as weld splatter may still be visible after treatment.
Results
Despite the challenges our technician worked until 6am to minimise any further disruption. The visual quality was significantly better and the customer was very happy. We were able to resolve our customer’s problem in 6 hours minimising the disruption and saving Dribuild money.
